The AMC Residential Summer School 2009 will be held at the Coombehurst House, Kingston Hill campus, Kingston University London. The Coombehurst House is located in an attractive and historic Regency mansion on Kingston Hill. The overall setting is beautiful and peaceful, old and new architecture blending with spacious lawns and shrubbery. The campus which is situated in leafy grounds about 3 miles from the Kingston Town Centre.

The campus was originally a large Victorian country estate. The landscaped gardens have been added to over the decades as the University's needs have increased. In addition to the many teaching rooms, Kingston Hill is home to a fully equipped music studio, halls of residence and a cafe. With so many facilities on site the campus has a good community feel.

Kingston Hill campus is very accessible by public transport as well as by car. There is a car park just next to the Coombehurst studio. Travel Directions

Train & Bus

Trains run regularly from London Waterloo to Kingston upon Thames and Surbiton stations (at least every 15 minutes). The train journey takes approximately 25 minutes.

Car

We recommend that you check up-to-date travel information for details of any road works affecting the area. You can find helpful links on Kingston University's website ( www.kingston.ac.uk ). You will need to have a parking permission to park at Kingston Hill campus. Please tick the relevant box on the booking form to get a parking permission.

From North:

•  Take the M1 to junction 6a (M25) and then the M25 to junction 13 (A30)

•  Follow the A30 to the A308

•  Take the A308 to the Hampton Court roundabout and turn right (signposted ' Guilford, A3, A309')

•  Follow the A309 until it merges with the A3 (signposted 'A3 London')

•  Exit the A3 at the Robin Hood roundabout (signposted 'A308 Kingston')

•  The Kingston Hill campus is less than a mile from this exit - on the left and just before brow of hill

From South:

•  Take the M25 to junction 9 (A243)

•  Follow the A243 to the junction with the A3 at Hook roundabout

•  Take the A3 (signposted 'A3 London')

•  Follow the directions from the A3 as above.
