Welcome to AMC Summer School 2009!

The AMC annual 'Sounds of Asia' Summer School is in its 12th year. In response to the demand over some years from students to spend more time with their teachers, we are moving to Kingston University London for a residential Summer School offering the best quality of workshops with internationally renowned artists from India, China and Japan.

The original idea of creating more opportunities for people to learn directly from master musicians in an inspiring environment has been successful and is still carried on. By going on residential, we are hoping to encourage participants to create a strong bond with teachers in the spirit of the traditional teacher-pupil relationship and to attract more students. Vocal and Instrumental classes are open to all takers, beginners and advanced (maximum class-size is 15).

We are offering high quality concerts, supporting seminars, open discussions and evening activities throughout our Summer School at Kinston University and at the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre. All of the events are open to the public.
