 ASIAN MUSIC SUMMER SCHOOL 2007
28 JULY - 4 AUGUST
At The Royal Academy of Music

In 1997, the Asian Music Circuit started its first Indian vocal summer school. The idea was to create opportunities for people to learn directly from master musicians in a friendly and inspiring environment. It was the first of its kind in the UK and is still one of the best Asian Music Summer Schools. Our participants have developed expertise not only in Indian music but also now in Chinese and Japanese music. The AMC Sounds of Asia Music Summer School has become an important part of their diary among our participants and musicians.

Now, for its tenth birthday, we have invited the finest artists from India, China and Japan, and open a new Japanese taiko drums course for young people. Courses will include specialist studies with master musicians, supporting rhythm classes as well as seminars and concerts which will be open to the public.
