Please join us for an evening of traditional Indian classical music featuring Soumik Datta on Sarod and Arif Khan on Tabla. In a very intimate setting, the two musicians will perform a selection of ragas played in various talas.

Soumik Datta is often refered as the "British Sarod Maestro" and is recognised as one of the most prolific British Asian artist of his generation. he has already performed with a star studded list of collaborators including Nitin Sawhney, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Talvin Singh. he classically trained with legendary Pt. Buddhadev DasGupta and graduated from Trinity College of Music.

Arif Khan was born as a child prodigy to a family of great musicians whose heritage goes back to the late 11th century A.D of the MIR AKASA lineage. He is one of the youngest amongst the renowned Tabla players in India, and at a young age his incredible dexterity, richness, superb tonal quality and maturity surprise any listener or connoisseur of music.
